Legacy Arts Project is to educate the public about the rich heritage of the African
Diaspora through song, dance, drumming, visual arts, lectures and storytelling.
We are accomplishing this mission by tapping the rich resources of folk-lore,
with field trips, classes conducted by master artists; and through the research
of historians.

Project is a dance company seeking to become the vanguard on Pittsburgh's
East End for compelling artistic collaborations

Mission/Description WIFM Pittsburgh is one of 40 chapters
worldwide and is a member of Women In Film and Television International.
WIFM is dedicated to improving the status and portrayal of women in film,
video and other screen based media. With an emphasis on education, we serve our
members and the community by providing access to opportunities in the industry
and working with other non-profits dedicated to helping women and children. The Opal
Awards celebrate the achievements of local women in television and film. Our television award is named the Patti Burns
Award for achievement in television and will be given to a local woman who has
achieved excellence in their field.
