    To support presentation, shipping and travel costs related to participation in the 10th Havana Biennial art exhibition, dedicated to the visual arts from Latin America, Africa and Asia, and to artists from these regions in the diaspora, taking place in Havana, Cuba March 27-April 30, 2009.

    To accept an invitation from Ms. Susanne Flesche, Director of kunsthaus kaufbeuren, an art museum in the city of Kaufbeuren, Baveria, to exhibit our installation, "Carbon Café," from February 19 through June 14, 2009, as part of an exhibition titled "Klimavandel" (Climate Change).

    To provide finishing costs, including frames, site-specific installation hardware and documentation for an invited solo exhibition at the Melwood Gallery at Pittsburgh Filmmakers that will premiere installations from the Code Words series that have not been previously exhibited.

  To make a short video (5-7 minutes) about her art, using the dramatic relocation of my sculpture, "Star and Sea" (Cor-Ten steel, 25ftx25ftx12ft) to the Lyman Allyn Museum of Art, New London, CT as the focal point of the film.
  Renee Piechocki $950
  To accept an invitation from the Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art to be a part of their international program "Intrude: Art & Life 366" in October 2008.
  Emily Herdeman $950
  To attend the Beijing International Musical Festival, a selective two-week program which provides high-level music training through private lessons, group coachings and ensemble performances.
  Eileen Maxson $950
  To attend De Ateliers, an artist residency located in Amsterdam.
  Mary Tremonte $700
  For travel expenses to two related, consecutive artist residencies to which she has been accepted.
  Emily Pinkerton $750
    To support her transition from a local to regional/national artist, she is requesting funding for the mixing and mastering of original songs that fuse North and South American acoustic styles.
