House Press is to publish and promote poetry and other
fine literature. In addition to publishing exceptional
books of enduring quality, Autumn House is collaboratively
engaged in a wide range of educational and outreach activities.
As one of the country's leading independent nonprofit
literary presses, Autumn House is helping to transform
the Pittsburgh region's image from "smokey city"

mission of the International
Poetry Forum is to demonstrate the relevance and centrality
of poetry to the general public through the oral presentation
of poetry. |

Gist
Street Reading Series is held monthly and features
local and national poets and writers. The series focuses
on emerging writers either publishing in national journals
and magazines or publishing their first or second books. |

The
Latin
American Literary Review/Press is made up of two entities:
the Latin
American Literary Review, a scholarly journal, and
the Latin
American Literary Review Press, which publishes translations
of creative writing and literary criticism. |

Meeting
of the Minds Journal is a nonprofit publishing venture
dedicated to producing, publishing, and disseminating
cutting-edge literary works to a wide audience. |

Arts & Lectures (PA&L) strives to stimulate
an interest in reading and to encourage appreciation for
the written word and the free exchange of ideas by presenting
intellectually stimulating programming in non-academic

based organization of local poets. It functions as a service
organization and an information exchange, and promotes
